My.. the episodes are coming out quite rapidly…. yay.. I’m quite excited. This is the ending of the damnable giraffe… and the end of Enis Lobby in about two or so episodes!

The episode begins with the viewing of about three character scenes. Spandam with Robin, Luffy with Franky and Lucci. Finally Zoro with the giraffe guy…

In between all of this they show the Galley La crew with Franky Family running for their lives with the giants. The grandma and her granddaughter is following slowly. Nami and Ussop are going to come in next episode and finally Sanji appears at the end of Zoro’s battle.

Zoro looked very much like the Hindu god Brahmā in this episode… was I surprised… three heads and nine arms. Ouch. I don’t want to be in the giraffe’s position. At the end of the battle, I’m not sure if he’s dead or not, but darn it the production team actually tried to redeem him at the end by having him think back to Waters 7. He’s still a jerk of the lowest form thinking that justice is stronger than human moral. My thinking is that because he’s in the way of the protagonist (heroes) of the series.. which thereby equates scum.

Lucci in the end of the episode goes all leopard looking while Luffy activate his Second Gear attack again. Ugh…I worry about his life span. Because even if these characters are not real, you literally wince if it was real as the attacks do take years off of someone’s life.

One Piece: Unlimited Adventure

Pirates swing onto Wii in this anime inspired adventure. Full impressions from the show floor.

One Piece: Unlimited Adventure is based on the characters and world of the One Piece manga and anime. For the demo you control pirate captain and rubber-man Monkey D. Luffy (pronounced Loofy) and explore an expansive island in search of treasure. Though the final game will most likely feature a story, this version let you explore freely with no real plot involved.

In the E3 demo you arrive on the shore of a huge island as Luffy and set your sights immediately on a treasure chest among the rocky cliffs. Opening it yields your first item of many: a pick axe. To use the item, you select it with the d-pad and swing the controller in a sideways or up and down motion and Luffy mimics the same movement on the screen. Using the pickaxe you can smash apart certain rocks or dig up glowing orbs from the ground. Jumping is handled with the remote trigger, while movement is by the analog stick of the nunchuck. It takes a moment to get used to jumping with a button on the remote while moving with the other hand, but like most Wii games, it becomes easier with practice.

Following the rocks up the side of the island, and smashing everything along the way, you come to the next item in a treasure chest, dubbed the Orb of Time. This device lets you speed up time at certain points in the game, and contains a charge that you must spend to do so. It is assumed that later you will have to collect higher charges in order to have larger events be altered. For the time being, you use the orb to make small tree grow several hundred years in size and unearth a giant stone blocking your path. From there you continue on to the next area, after an amusing in-game cut scene featuring classic One Piece humor.

The next section is even larger than the first, and contains two chests quite far apart. One contains an insect net, which you can then use to catch butterflies scattered among the many flowers of the island. Just like the pickaxe, you swing the remote downward like you would an actual net in order to catch them. The butterflies are measured and the game keeps track of your record bug. In the demo, these insects serve no purpose other than to try and break the record. Around the flowers are bright red mushrooms which you can jump on to launch your character high into the air.

At the end of a long stone pier is the next treasure chest which holds a fishing rod. As expected, you cast the rod out into the lake with the remote as you would with the real world object, and when the bobber sinks below the water you quickly pull back to snag the fish. Then it's a battle to reel your catch in, at which point it is also measured and compared against the record. For a tiny, pink angel fish, it certainly puts up quite a fight.

The visuals of the One Piece: Unlimited Adventure demo are very crisp and maintain an anime cartoon style. Some of the slimmer objects such as strands of Luffy's hair show jagged edges, but otherwise the bright and colorful world seems very clean and smooth. The range of sight is vast and the scope of the island's size seems immense. Clearly the developers attempted to portray the phrase "Unlimited Adventure" within the game itself. The demo lacked enemies, but with the world of One Piece it is a safe bet to assume the final game will be brimming with opponents to beat up.

Fans of One Piece should be very excited for Unlimited Adventure. The game is already shaping up well and looks to be a huge world for gamers to explore. The gameplay takes fair advantage of Wii's unique controls, and with a bit more polish, could set a standard for action adventure games in the future. At times the hit detection in the demo is almost a bit too accurate, and makes it harder to break apart objects or land a caught butterfly. IGN will have more information on One Piece: Unlimited Adventure as it is released, so keep an eye out for future developments of the game.

he fifth and sixth opening songs for One Piece were the first anime songs I translated myself ^^ I love pretty much all the One Piece songs, especially the openings, so that’s what motivated me to put my Japanese skills to work and translate them. After that, they were sitting idly on my computer for a while, but now that I have my own blog site, I figured why not post them here, along with other anime/j-pop songs I decide to translate. So here they are =) I plan to translate more of my favorite anime songs in the future, so keep a lookout!

Plot Summary:
As the Pirate King Gold Roger was executed he revealed that his treasure, known as "One Piece", was hidden somewhere on the Grand Line. Monkey D. Luffy dreams of finding the legendary treasure and becoming the Pirate King, and after eating the devil's fruit gains the power to do so. But first he must find a crew...

Fame...fortune...power...

The one man who had it all in this world was the great Pirate King, Gold Roger...whose fateful last words drove men to the sea.

"My treasure? If you want it, I will give it. All the riches in the world await the person who can but find it."

And so, brave souls set sail for the Grand Line in search of their dreams. The Great Age of Pirates had begun.

It's a pirate adventure like no other you've over seen.

Now, Monkey D. Luffy has set out on his own grand adventure. His goal, to fulfil a promise he made to his idol, the pirate Shanks, to seek out the Grand Line and find the Pirate King's treasure: One Piece. He is both blessed and cursed by having eaten of the Gum Gum fruit, known throughout the seas as the "Devil's Fruit". Though now unable to swim, his body is now able to stretch like rubber. With his newfound powers and the crew of the Going Merry at his side (famed pirate hunter Zolo, crafty pirate thief Nami, compulsive liar Usopp, and suave but kicking cook Sanji), Monkey sets out to follow in the wakes of the great pirates and write his own name in the pages of history.

Take note that despite its recent release, One Piece can be considered very "retro" in style. The style and the somewhat whimsical storyline appear to take a page from Akira Toriyama's classic Dragon Ball.
